Tax effective giving


At no extra cost to you there are ways you can increase your gift to the British Liver Trust. As a charity certain tax benefits are applicable and can increase the value of your gift.

Gift Aid
If If you are a UK tax payer you can give the British Liver Trust an extra 25p for every
£1 you donate at no extra cost to yourself. The Government will pay us an additional 3p on every £1 you give between 6 April 2008 and 5 April 2011. This transitional relief for charities does not affect your personal tax position. Just let us know that you would like us to gift aid your donation by filling in the form. We are then able to reclaim the tax that you paid on the amount of your donation from the government.

Major Giving
Are you able to donate £1,000 or more to the British Liver Trust? Your gift could fund the vital services that support the lives of the thousands of people affected by the all the different types of liver disease, please contact us if you would like to discuss further.

Higher rate tax payer
If you are a higher rate taxpayer, you can reclaim the difference between the basic rate of tax and the higher rate of tax. You can opt to donate this rebate to the British Liver Trust if you choose! Click here to find out more.

Payroll giving 
Payroll giving provides us with a reliable, dependable income that will help us plan and maintain our services with confidence. This can be simply set up with your employer and you will be able to donate directly from your salary on a regular basis.
