Damien ran The London 10k Run for the Trust. He explains why below:
"Basically I chose to do the run because when my Grandfather was diagnosed with Cancer, it came as a shock to all of us, not least him. I felt that I wanted to do something to raise money.
First thoughts were the 3 peaks challenge but you really need to organise something well in advance to attempt it properly. I was then sent a link from my girlfriend about the London 10k run. I thought that it was something that I could do and after registering with the just giving website, I decided to choose the British Liver Trust as my charity of choice as my Grandfather had secondary liver cancer, I felt that I wanted the money to go towards a charity dedicated to research and prevention of liver diseases. "
