Daniel Sutton has recently been diagnosed with a form of hepatitis (either A or E) and to raise money for the British Liver Trust he is planning a sponsored motobike around the Isle of Wight 40 times which equates to 2,000 miles.
Before Daniel became ill he had intended to cycle around Africa to raise money for another charity. Then he planned to cycle around England and Wales but his health has further deteriorated so he decided on the Isle of Wight.

Why did you decide to support the British Liver Trust?
"At the ripe old age of 46 it's possible I may never work again so now I’m devoting my time to promote the British Liver Trust and to raise awareness that liver disease is on the increase in the UK. Most people still think liver disease is always associated with alcohol. This simply isn't the case.
On a more personal note, I wanted to challenge myself. Being a sufferer of liver disease the hardest part is going to be overcoming the mental and physical exhausation that many sufferers and myself feel on a daily basis, so this aint going to be a joy ride."
When does your trip begin?
"I'm planning the trip for the last week in May 2008, although I haven't got an exact date yet."
How long do you think it will take?
"I've allowed myself five days, but for a healthy, experienced rider the trip would only take two days. I have to allow for my illness and getting to my assigned hotel early so I can get as much rest as possible for the next leg is really important."
Have you got any plans after the ride?
"I would like to be able to do this trip every year, but it would depend on whether my health deteriorates or not. I would be happy to set the trip up for other riders who want to follow in my footsteps."
