The Big Detox
What is it?

What is the Big Healthy Dinner Party?
How do I sign up?
The Big Detox is our new campaign to raise awareness of liver disease, encourage people to take steps to consider their own liver health and to raise vital funds for our work.
The campaign will run throughout the year and we hope you will join us to make a huge difference to the lives of thousands of people.
A quarter of us drink at levels that could put our health at risk, and many of us are overweight and don’t do enough exercise which can impact on our liver’s health.
Whether it’s taking a break from alcohol, watching the food we eat or deciding to take more exercise - The Big Detox is an opportunity to put these thoughts into practice by giving something up and giving something back.
The campaign was originally scheduled to run between 1st and 31st January but a lot of our supporters fed back that it was such a good idea and we should do it all year round! There is always motivation for getting fit and healthy- holidays, weddings, overseas treks, Christmas etc
There are so many ways you can help. Sign up to one of the detox resolutions mentioned in the pack, or if none of these suit you, how about having a healthy dinner party?
The idea is to organise a dinner party for friends and family etc and ask them to make a donation to join you and enjoy the delicious food you create. The meals can be as simple or as complicated as you like – you may even want to think about how you might entertain the guests. Perhaps you could organise some games between courses or make it into a movie night.
Simply fill in the registration form, let us know what you plan to do and send it in to us. We are always on hand if you need any advice and can provide materials like collecting cans if you need them too.
