Welcome to the British Liver Trust’s patient forums. We hope that these forums will provide online support for patients, relatives and carers who need support but are unable to access a local liver support group.
The forums ARE NOT a substitute for professional advice but other people who have had similar experiences can be enormously helpful at a time when you might be feeling very worried and alone. If you need to discuss your concerns more fully or you want to ensure any information you have been given is correct, we strongly recommend that you consult the factual advice on this website, call our free Helpline on 0800 652 7330 or speak to a healthcare professional (such as your GP or specialist).
We currently have three message board options, a general discussion forum, one specifically relating to Hepatitis B and one exclusively for Support Groups. The Trust is receiving an increasing number of enquiries about Hepatitis B support and we have set up this forum to help overcome the distance between people and a general shortage of support in this area. It is still a very new forum and all messages posted will help to increase the level of support it provides.
We will be setting up individual forums for each disease. If you would like see a forum on a specific disease please do let us know.
These message boards are not moderated and the British Liver Trust can not be held responsible for any information that is posted by members of the public. Please read the following disclaimer and the general website disclaimer carefully. Any advice offered through the message boards should be confirmed with a suitably qualified professional before being acted upon.
We are always pleased to hear from anybody who might be interested in starting a new support group in their area. If you would like to find out more, please look at the relevant section in our support pages or contact Richard Hall.
If you require support direct from the British Liver Trust please contact us via our free medical helpline on 0800 652 7330.
