The Rise of Drinking in Young Professionals

Posted on: 20th April 2016

A BBC2 documentary (9pm, Sunday 24th April) with Louis Theroux, 'Drinking To Oblivion' meets some of London's heaviest drinkers in need of special treatment for the damage heavy drinking has done to their bodies. Featuring the liver department at Kings college Hospital it talks about the impact alcohol can have on liver health, as well as meeting the doctors trying to save them and discovering the consequences for their families.

The Trust's Chief Executive is quoted in last night's Evening Standard about the rise the UK is seeing among professional women: http://www.standard.co.uk/lifestyle/health/the-rise-of-the-young-female-drinkers-who-open-a-bottle-at-wine-o-clock-each-night-a3228711.html
