Publications and Information Officer – (part time) Bournemouth or home based

Salary £29,000.00 pro-rata - 2.5 days per week

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong track record in producing leaflets and web based information. The post holder will be producing support and information materials for people with liver disease so will need to have an understanding of how to ensure information is factually correct and appropriately and sensitively written for the target audience.

The successful candidate will need to have demonstrable experience in editing, proofreading, and producing and managing the production of a range of information materials. They will also have advanced IT and digital skills.  An understanding of the charity sector would be an advantage.

Home working will be considered for an exceptional candidate.

Communications Officer - (part time) Bournemouth based

Salary £24,000.00 pro rata - 3 days per week

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has good communication skills and at least one years’ experience working as part of a Communications team. With a track record in providing support to the communications function with, ability to write well, deliver on digital platform, and juggle multiple tasks; they should be keen to apply and develop those skills and abilities in a unique charity and have the flexibility to work in a changing environment.

Support Group Facilitators - (2 x part time) home-based with travel across the allocated region

1 x Highlands & Islands post (2 days per week, based in Inverness)

1 x Glasgow & west of Scotland post (3 days per week, based in Glasgow)

Salary £23,500 pro rata on a 2-year, fixed term contract.

British Liver Trust runs a network of support groups across Scotland to support patients with liver disease, and their families and carers.

These groups are a crucial source of support and guidance for patients affected by liver disease, and we want to expand our current activities to create a national network of groups, and join up our services for liver patients across Scotland.

The post holder will work closely with people with liver disease, their families and carers, NHS clinical teams and health and social care professionals and representatives to create, develop and manage a calendar of support groups and events.

Key responsibilities:

  • Running & supporting existing groups
  • Scoping of existing NHS services to liver patients
  • Facilitating the start-up of new groups
  • Developing relationships with healthcare professionals
  • Supporting the wider development work of the British Liver Trust in Scotland
