Support Groups

Many people affected by a liver condition find it helpful to speak to others and share experiences. Meeting face to face can really help and the British Liver Trust facilitates a number of support groups across the UK. These groups can be a real lifeline.

The list below contains both British Liver Trust groups and other related charity support groups which you are very welcome to join. Do call or email them to see if they can help.

Many groups have strong relationships with medical staff and invited health professionals to give talks and answer questions. Groups can be disease specific or more general and usually offer members a mixture of events. They are led by volunteers with first hand experience of liver disease, either patients themselves, carers or health professionals.

We are always looking for ways to expand our support network and set up new British Liver Trust groups. If you are interested in starting a support group in your area, please get in touch. For more information email support@britishlivertrust.org.uk or call 01425 481320.

If you are connected with a support group which you would like to include on our website, or to change any information about your group, please email info@britishlivertrust.org.uk.

Note: if you cannot find the support you are looking for here then please try visiting our ‘Useful Links‘ section for details of other organisations that may be of help.
