Abbeycare is a provider of specialist residential alcohol treatment and detoxification centres, with rehabs in Scotland and Newmarket, just outside of London. We treat people suffering from alcoholism and the problems associated with alcohol dependence and alcohol misuse.

Action on Addiction – The M-PACT(UK) Project
M-PACT (UK) is the result of a growing awareness that services for children and young people suffering the consequence of parental substance misuse have been limited, fragmented or non-existent across the UK. UK support group run by alphas for alphas, to help and advise fellow sufferers, and backed by the UK’s leading medical experts in the field of Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency. Provide support and education for individuals, families, carers and friends who are affected directly or indirectly by Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency and to grow a social network for patients, by providing a discussion group focusing on how better to cope with their condition, aiming towards improving quality of life.

Self Management for Life UK
Self Management For Life courses are FREE and help people to improve their health and wellbeing by learning new skills to manage their condition on a daily basis. People who have already attended courses have told us it has helped them to deal with their pain, tiredness, feelings of depression, frustration and other difficulties that may come from living with a long-term condition.

The Haemophilia Society UK
National charity that provides information and support for people affected by haemophilia, von Willebrand’s and related inherited disorders.

The James Lind Alliance
Charity which aims to identify the most important gaps in knowledge about the effects of treatments. It has been established to bring patients and clinicians together in ‘Working Partnerships’ to identify and prioritise the unanswered questions that they agree are most important.

The Patients Association
Charity providing patients with an opportunity to raise concerns and share experiences of healthcare. Through their Helpline, correspondence and research they learn from patients the issues that are of concern and work towards improving healthcare.
