Donations and grants from Charitable Trusts and Foundations are vital. Current grants are funding our core services, including answering 2,000 Information line calls and email enquiries a year, supporting 12,000 members on the British Liver Trust online community, keeping almost 30 liver guides and publications up to date and funding our Love Your Liver campaign.
Research grants are essential and ensure that we are not only supporting adults affected by all liver conditions now, but seeking to reduce the effect of liver disease in the future.
This year grateful thanks go to all our funders, including significant grants as follows:
- Masonic Charitable Foundation, who have funded the post of Liver Health Advisor until December 2017. The grant has supported our recruitment of an experienced liver nurse to manage our Freephone Helpline.
- Garfield Weston Foundation, whose three year funding has supported our core work including patient services, campaigning, and our national awareness campaign, Love Your Liver.
- The Robertson Trust, whose multi-year funding will allow us to build on our success, and develop more support groups in Scotland.
